Know the shine of our hair and eyes:
To find out your pigmentation, look at yourself in the mirror, in a bright room and ideally without makeup and analyze the color of your hair and eyes. Are they dark or pale?
Be careful not to automatically associate a color with a tone, since for each color, there is a light and dark shade. For example, brown hair is not automatically classified as dark, there can be shades of pale brown, just like blue eyes can be dark.
Know the type of pigmentation of your skin:
To find out your tone, take two pieces of fabric (one gold and the other silver), then place them under your face in turn. The one that suits you best is the one that will brighten your complexion. On the contrary, if the color does not suit you, your imperfections will stand out and your skin will appear duller.
This can also be done with silver and gold colored jewelry. By placing them on your wrist or near your face, you can see which shade best complements your skin.
If silver suits you better, you have a cold complexion. If it's gold, you look great, your complexion is warm.
Associate your pigmentation with your season:
First, you should know that colors are classified into categories according to their tone or temperature (warm/cold) and their brightness or shine (light/dark).
Depending on the shades determined, a season is associated with you. It is important to know that when we think of the seasons and associate them with a color palette, we must think of them not in terms of temperature, but rather in terms of the images they send. For example, for winter, we think of white snow and blue glaciers, and for summer, of pastel colors of flowers.
Here are the 4 seasonal profiles:
PROFILE OF THE “WINTER” WOMAN: DARK HAIR and COLD COMPLEXION
Summer and winter have cool tones, which have a bluish base. The winter color palette is made up of cold, contrasting tones.
Often, women who belong to the “winter” season have a pronounced contrast between the color of their hair (dark) and their complexion (pale).
You are a “winter” woman if you match these characteristics:
Your hair is dark: black, brown or dark brown.
You have brown, blue, green or black eyes, but all are dark.
Your complexion is light (contrast with hair) like porcelain, peach, matte, or very dark, bronze, olive, black skin.
PROFILE OF THE “SUMMER” WOMAN: PALE HAIR + COOL COMPLEXION
While the “winter” woman has very contrasting hair and skin tone, the “summer” woman’s hair and skin tone are softer. Women with pale hair and a cool complexion fall into this category.
You are a “summer” woman if you match these characteristics:
Your hair is pale: we find the whole range of blonde (platinum, golden, ash) and light brown.
Your eyes are pale: blue, green, gray or light brown.
Your complexion is also pale and clear: in shades of pink, peach or beige.
“Winter” and “summer” women should favor silver-colored jewelry and white-colored jewelry.
PROFILE OF THE “AUTUMN” WOMAN: DARK HAIR and WARM COMPLEXION
Spring and fall have warm highlights that have a yellowish base.
For fall colors, think woody hues, leaves and spices, while the spring woman's tones are more vibrant and bright.
You are an “autumn” woman if you match these characteristics:
Your hair is dark with copper highlights: dark brown, golden blonde, dark red, copper highlights, chocolate brown.
Your eyes have warm shades: brown, green, with golden pigmentation.
Your complexion is more coppery: golden, some freckles and tans easily.
Colors that suit her well: warm tones and light highlights
“Spring” women’s colors also have warm shades, but more pale, vibrant, bright and vivid than those of autumn.
Jewelry in shades of gold, copper and turquoise harmonizes very well with the complexion of “autumn” and “spring” women.
If you want to indulge in the color game, you shouldn't automatically abandon certain colors, but rather choose them for you. Here is the example of two yellow dresses, one with a cool complexion and the other with a warm complexion.
